More from Fashion Week Prep

We've been working SO hard! The Shakespeare Collection is coming together! Here are some images from the studio...

We have a lot of separates this time around, with some awesome jackets and vests, along with two men's looks!

The Viola jacket, sans sleeve, buttons, etc.

Pattern drafting...

Juliet top. A long silk flowy top - we're adding triple hand beaded straps with Swarovski crystals.

The Tudor Vest. One of our favorites! It's brown faux leather with a black herringbone trim.

Kris' runway shirt and Marlowe vest before we added buttons.

One of the watch chains Emily is making for the runway show.

More to come!

Here we are, getting prepared for Fashion Week!

We always create what we call the "stalker wall" (if the police ever raid our studio, they would think that is what it is). It's basically just our sketches, paired with large swatches, and the photos and sizing of the models we've chosen for each garment. The reason we do it like this is because we take the time to really analyze each model to determine which garment would best suit her look. So each model looks like she belongs with the garment. It just walks the runway better that way, and the models tend to agree that we are dead on with our choices "I would totally wear that every day!" and "That's exactly my style!"

Happy models make our clothes look good on the runway. :)

That's Amanda, pinning up the stalker wall.
